Terms of Use for Web Payment EV Charging Service

1. Acceptance of Terms By using our EV charging service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Accessing the Service

  • QR Code Scanning: To initiate a charging session, you must scan the QR code located on the front of the charger. This will direct you to a web form where you will enter your payment method.
  • Payment Methods: We accept various payment methods including credit cards, Google Pay, and Apple Pay. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method for the use of our charging services.

3. Pricing and Rates

  • Transparency: All pricing and rates will be displayed clearly on the web page accessed via the QR code before you start your charging session. Prices are inclusive of taxes where applicable unless otherwise stated.
  • Dynamic Pricing: Rates might vary based on time of day, demand, or other factors. The exact rate applicable at the time of your session will be shown before you confirm the start of charging.

4. Authorization of Payment

  • Pre-Authorization: Before your charging session begins, the system will require a pre-authorization of $50 from your payment method. This authorization is not a charge but a validation to ensure the payment method has sufficient funds or credit for the session. The pre-authorization amount will be held temporarily and released back to your payment method once the charging session cost is settled or the session ends, whichever comes first.

5. Charging Session

  • Session Start: Once payment information is submitted and the pre-authorization is successfully attained, the charging session begins.
  • Session Monitoring: You can monitor your charging session through a dynamic web page that provides real-time updates on charging status, energy consumption, cost, and estimated time to full charge.
  • Session End: The session concludes either when you manually stop the charging or when the charge is complete based on your vehicle's settings or the charger's specifications.

6. Receipt and Record Keeping

  • Receipt Generation: Upon completion of the charging session, the dynamic web page will serve as your receipt, detailing the session duration, total energy dispensed, total cost, and payment method used.
  • Record Keeping: We recommend you keep a record of this receipt for your records. You can download, screenshot, or email the receipt from the web page.

7. Security

  • Payment Security: We use industry-standard encryption to protect your payment information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
  • Data Privacy: Your use of the service is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data.

8. Liability

  • Service Use: You are responsible for ensuring that your vehicle is compatible with our charging equipment. We are not liable for any damage to your vehicle or property caused by improper use of the charging station.
  • Service Interruption: We strive to provide uninterrupted service, but we are not liable for any interruptions, including those due to maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen circumstances.
