Installation - Receptacle Kit Wiring

This section involves connecting and wiring up the two receptacle wiring wing components to the contactor junction box.

Note that special 8AWG high-grade, flexible, 133 strand, UL listed wire is used in the assembly for safety and ease of installation.

Follow These Steps

Follow the steps below to feed all the EVCC whip wires through the left and right cutouts in the contactor junction box, then fasten them to the contactor.

For these steps, you will need the left and right receptacle wire whip assembles a Philips-head screwdriver and a flat-head screwdriver.
1
On the left side receptacle wire whip, remove the ring fastener screwed onto the conduit connector, then feed all of the wires through the left side 3/4 inch cutout of the contactor junction box. From there, feed the ring fastener back through the whip wires and screw the fastener tight to the conduit connecter threads.

Repeat the above steps to install the right side receptacle wire whip.
2
Position the 8AWG ground wire (green) below the DINrail and into the far side hole of the ground busbar as shown. Tighten the busbar screw with the flat-head screwdriver.

Repeat the above steps to fasten the right side ground wire.
3
Mount the left contactor to the DINrail keeping it to the left side of the enclosure as shown. Be sure it is securely in place. Repeat this step with the right contactor.

WARNING: The exposed metal components of an energized, loose contactor could come in contact with other metal parts and cause sparking or fire.
